About Me I'm simply me, a woman that gave up a commited and strict christian belief system that failed me completely and am now seriously searching for truth & wisdom, a vegetarian who is traveling down the road to veganism ... aahhhh ... freedom!

Music I love listening to many different sounds. At the moment soft jazz or Native American music bring the most peace. I am just learning to enjoy classical. (No opera, though.)

Movies I enjoy 'Mists of Avalon', 'Practical Magic' (I love the herbal room in the house), 'Contact','Beauty Shop', The Craft, and of course "Dances With Wolves" is simply one of the best movies.

TV No dish, no satellite, no antenna, nothing. I have saved myself from all those commercials and brain washing. Older shows that I enjoy are Northern Exposure, Frasier, Will & Grace, Dharma & Greg, ....

Books Native American books are wonderful as are Laurie Cabot. Right now I just finished reading "I Send A Voice" by Evelyn Eaton and "Walking With Grandfather" by Joseph M. Marshall III. I am currently reading a couple of books by Ed McGaa. I simply love books.

Likes I thrive on nature. I love the aroma of soil when I work with my plants. I have always pointed out clouds and colors in the sky. I swerve around snakes. I love water, whether it be the ocean, a pond, or a swimming pool. I respect storms and lightning. I have always known that there was a spirit in every thing. Animals fascinate me and when I go to the zoo or the aquarium the animals and fish tend to come to me. I love to swim and enjoy spring and summer the most.

Dislikes My first dislike is a hate ... WAR. But I also dislike people who: think they know everything about everything, think they are better than me, put on fake facades, and hurt other people. I also dislike winter, advertising, & stupid people. But my biggest hate, other than war, is anyone who lies.

    Prayers ... ?

Wednesday, May 7, 2008, 09:15 AM CST [General]

I am sending this out to everyone and anyone who will take the time to read it and send even just a brief response. What is prayer to you? When someone is in need of help in any way, be it relationships, employment, family, finances, etc. how do you respond? I'm not trying to get you to tell me intimate details of your spiritual life, just what your first basic response is. I've heard lighting candles, chanting, sending energy or light, and so on. I would simply appreciate it greatly if I could get some serious truthful responses to this simple query. Thank you.

    Blessings to all!

    Afghanistan contact

Monday, May 5, 2008, 09:05 AM CST [General]

My son, Sean, who is in the army, left for Afghanistan around the middle of March and I hadn't heard a word from him, until yesterday. I was scanning through emails and when I came across his, I was amazed, shocked, grateful, thankful, and yes, brought to tears of joy. The email was very short, but that didn't natter at all. He has never been a very good writer. The most contact we have ever had was when he was deployed to Iraq. There he had internet and we would talk for an hour or more several times a week. But this deployment is not the same.

The barracks, or whatever he is suppose to be living in are not yet finished being built. He is living in a tent and to his dismay and mine, the tent is not furnished with internet capabilities. He also said that the FOB (forward operation base) where he is living is very boring. Why? Because it has not been attacked for 34 months. He calls it boring, I simply call it a huge blessing! He's okay, doing fine and looking to be home in over a year. The time will drag by for both of us. But please keep him in your prayers & meditations!

    Blessings.

    Sean & my granddaughter, Jenny.
