    Blessings To All!

    Wednesday, October 31, 2007, 02:53 PM [General]

Today brings happiness and also some sadness. Since this is the first Samhain that I have ever celebrated, I am looking forward to some quiet time later and celebrating alone. However, I have had fun decorating and carving pumpkins and collecting 'witches'.  But I also know that from now on 'christmas' will be everywhere and I truly hate christmas and all that it stands for and how it is pushed at us from every direction. I may celebrate Winter Solstice, but 'christmas' is a bit overwelming for me.

Anyway, so far today I've actually been a bit stressed out due to the fact that my oneness pentecostal, holier-than-thou, lazier than anything, consistantly lying, been living here with us for 15 months, daughter-in-law is still here driving me crazy! Can you imagine living with your in-laws because of finances and then not having a job or even trying to save money? Ughhhhh! She won't get a job because she wants to be here for her my 3 year old granddaughter. But all Sunday afternoon, all Monday and Tuesday, and even this morning (she had to get up early) she did nothing but watch an entire season of CSI. So she doesn't work too hard. She has one small bathroom and one bedroom to keep clean and can't keep up with that. She spends all of her time doing arts & crafts for her church.

I apologize, it's Samhain, not griping time. I guess I just needed to vent a bit. Instead of getting upset all over again, I believe the kids and I will go out for a bit and spend some time outdoors before it gets chilly again tomorrow. I do send blessings to all of you and wish the very best for the year to come and also hope that you have a magikal evening!

    Blessed Be & Happy Samhain!

    First pumpkins in 22 years!

    Monday, October 29, 2007, 09:31 PM [General]

I was against Halloween and jack-o-lanterns because of my religious beliefs for about 22 years. Today we carved our own pumpkins and had them lit in the window tonite. So nice ... Happy Samhain!

    please tell me ...

    Saturday, October 27, 2007, 07:19 PM [General]

If you are a solitary witch and have a Samhain tradition that you could share, would you please? This is the first time that I will celebrate Samhain and I will be by myself and I would love some suggestions. I have asked all of my friends here at covenspace and now I am asking everyone. If it's too personal that's fine, I'm not asking for secrets. I just wanted to know what other solitary witches do to celebrate.

I have received one answer so far and I was very impressed and I hope that more of you will just take a couple of minutes to share your experiences with a new witch. I will deeply appreciate every answer that I get! Thank you so much!

    Blessed Be.

    Goddesses & Gods

    Wednesday, October 24, 2007, 12:11 PM [General]

If anyone here, has an extra moment or two to spare, could you please share with me what Goddesses and Gods are your favorites and how they got to be that way? I have read a couple of blogs pertaining to this and found it to be very interesting and would appreciate anything that you feel you can share. Thank you.

     Blessed Be.
